Lolina? HematoGro  Supplement  (HemGS)  is  a  sterile,  concentrated  (100X)  solution  which  contains proteins and hormones necessary for the short-term maintenance of hematopoietic cells in vitro, including  bone  marrow  mononuclear  and  peripheral  blood  cells.  This  supplement  does  not contain  serum,  growth  factors  or  cytokines  and  is  designed  to  be  used  in  conjunction  with HematoGro Medium (HemGM).

Instructions for Use

For best results, use HemGS in conjunction with HematoGro Medium-basal (HemGM-b) and Pen/Strep (P/S).

Thaw HemGS at 37^oC. Gently tilt the tube several times to ensure complete mixing. Spray the medium bottle and supplement tube with 70% ethanol and wipe to remove excess liquid. In a sterile field, remove the caps without touching the interior threads with fingers. Add HemGS to the basal medium and mix well. Since several components are light-labile, the medium should not be exposed to light for extended periods. We do not recommend warming medium in a 37^oC water bath prior to use. When stored in the dark at 4^oC, the reconstituted medium is stable for one month.

Caution: If handled improperly, some components of the medium may present a health hazard. Take appropriate precautions when handling it, including the wearing of protective clothing and eyewear. Dispose of properly.
